SPEAKER_03I was watching Netflix this week, and I this is more directed at Joanne because I know there's no chance in hell, Dave, that you started watching this. No. Did you start watching Let's Marry Harry?
SPEAKER_04Uh started and finished and would watch it again. Oh, really? Really?
SPEAKER_03Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER_04I love him. He's such a mess. But he's got such a good heart. I hated all of the girls.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I well, I didn't hate all the girls. I really liked Sam.
SPEAKER_04Yes, I did.
SPEAKER_03And then he cuts her. And I'm like, but I liked Sam. Sam was the one that okay, Sam would have been my pick.

SPEAKER_03Well, you not only have to raise the bar, but like, I'm sorry, and I'm not like Mr. Politically Correct or anything like that, or or you know, by it has to be by the book, but the fact that they picked these 20 hot ass beautiful women and then let him go, you decide who you want to marry. It seems so just like, hello, what year is it? Is it 2026? And like the it, but it was all just uh and yeah, and of course he has to dig deeper on dates with him, so you know, just so it's not just you know the physical appearance and all this crap.
SPEAKER_04And I'm just like and he has he has to do that for himself because his reputation Oh absolutely he's a fucking womanizer, he is, yes, and he's a piece of shit. And I was just like Gemini, oh yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_04I was too, and I I saw him um like in a reel or something saying that there was a lot to their relationship, obviously, that we didn't see, and there was a lot of tweaking going on with his relationship and Danelle, where it made it seem like it was more serious, maybe.

SPEAKER_03Well, they they if well they weren't officially married because they didn't sign any sort of marriage document, and he also didn't apply through the government because he's Australian or whatever, or New Zealand, for an American to marry somebody for it.

SPEAKER_03I don't know. I I was very just like, I couldn't believe I invested that much time and into that. And it went quickly, though. It did. It did, but I was just you know, well, and you know, the new season of 90 Day Fiance almost finished airing. I think they're on episode like 14 or 15 and they go through episode 18 or something. So when that eventually finishes, then I will start binge watching the new season of that. But I'm not okay.

Hurricane Lala And Hawaii Updates
SPEAKER_04The earthquake, hurricane, volcano?
SPEAKER_03Well, Hurricane Lala came through.

SPEAKER_03And Lyric posted on her Instagram that she finally reunited with Rome. And he flew out, he flew out to Hawaii while Hurricane Lala, of all things, because Latrice on the show is Lala. And Lyric even makes a comment. She goes, Is that coincidence or what? That the hurricane's the same. You know, yeah. And uh, but yeah, they were kissing and you know, PDAing, and like, you know, then today she posted more where they're out on the beach and she's showing around, you know, Hawaii and they're in love.
SPEAKER_04Man, he must really love her because that was three natural disasters happening at exactly the same time.
SPEAKER_02Right, and he flew into it.
SPEAKER_04And he flew into all of that. Did you see the so the Mount Kilauea has been exploding for like eight months or something? And it has these episodes where they they it's like on episode 54 since the big one started in last year sometime. Okay, anyway, so Mount Kilauea is going these big, huge lava fountains and the hurricanes coming. So the wind is just like blowing all of this smoke and lava and everything. It was crazy.

SPEAKER_04She's like, she's like put on sweats and came over, and I'm like, Marta, you are dressed like a ninja. What's happening? She's like, Operation Cluck. And I'm like, yes, let's go. So she has like a big dog. So she brought the kennel over. And we went to our neighbors and we got all the chickens from their nice, cozy little setup over there. And one of them was hiding.

SPEAKER_04I was like, I thought Brooks said there were nine, but there's only eight. And we're like, oh, what's going on? And then she was like up in the rafters of the coop. They have like a big walk-in coop.

SPEAKER_04So we had to like nudge her with a stick. And then she flew into my arms.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. That's what she was aiming for. Yeah. I'll get this. This is the one. We are free. Oh dang it.
SPEAKER_04But they we brought them, they settled in, and they seemed to be, it was nighttime, so they were supposed to be going to sleep. And then this horrible shriek. Oh. And Marta's like, my friend Marta is like, oh yeah, they're establishing their pecking order. Okay. Which is like a real thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That they literally peck each other to see who's the most dominant. So it's been interesting. They um they're in like two camps. It's the older ladies who were together, because I don't know if I told you I had to mix the two together because the older ladies had never um lived with their babies before.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_04And so you so my friend Brooke didn't mix them before she left. So I have to like bring the two coupes together. So the older ladies all stick together, but they've ostracized one of their group, and then the babies stick together with the rooster because they are all born together.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04So there it kind of makes me, but I feel really bad for this one poor little lady. She's scared. They don't talk to her.

SPEAKER_04The second one, though, they they you know they have nesting boxes. I don't know if you're aware of this. Yeah, yeah. Or they're supposed to lay. Right. So they have to get used to where that is and what they are. So the first one laid in the corner, but had created like a little nest.
SPEAKER_00Its own nest, right? Without using the box, right?
SPEAKER_04Right. The second one, she just like dug to the floor and then the egg laid on the floor and cracked a little bit. Oh.

SPEAKER_04So but I put that in the nesting box to hopefully show them. This is a good thing. This is where it happened.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think you can get wooden eggs to do that too. Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_04Train them where the eggs go and then they kind of and I don't think they like like it. I got these nesting pads for them, which is supposed to be like softer and easier to clean and stuff, but I don't think they like them. So I think that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you city folk with your city pillows. You don't need those silly pillows, city pillows.
SPEAKER_04They tell you I put it in the house. I put uh because they have hemp bedding, so they're like really city fied.
SPEAKER_00I got that reference by the other.
SPEAKER_04And I put I put um this floral herb mixture in for them. So it calms them down. It's got like lavender and rosemary, and so their coop smells like a spa.
SPEAKER_03And they're all like we want it to smell like awesome.

SPEAKER_04Just to welcome them, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, coop soothing uh sage and and lavender candles. Yeah, that'd be great. Yeah. I'm sure they'd love that.

SPEAKER_04You know, that's an excellent question. I'm gonna have to research that. But they have been, I would say from where they were seen to where I know they used to live, it's probably half our neighborhood, which so it would be like 200 acres, maybe. Wow.

Kitchen Fails Pool Fixes And Nostalgia
SPEAKER_03So, Dave, what do you what's been going on in your window?
SPEAKER_00Okay. So this week, I think, proves the fact that Lisa should not ever be in the kitchen. Oh. She practically almost killed herself three times from just this week performing generic kitchen functions.
SPEAKER_04What is up with the two of you?
SPEAKER_00She almost fell into the dishwasher. There was a knife incident, and then there was something with the refrigerator and handles. I I just don't, I she should not. It's the reason why I cook. Because if there was any any uh I love rich white people problems. Any definition is to keep her out of the kitchen. This was it. There is no reason for her to be in that kitchen anymore for her own safety. She just that we can actually state that as a fact that she should not be in the kitchen. So yes. And then Um, I had another I had an issue that I had to call my home warranty on. Oh, right. Set the timer. And the crack was like maybe an inch and a half, maybe, but it was so um, I guess it it released the pressure, it de um primed all the piping, and the filter was running dry for I don't know how long. Oh wow, it had to be overnight. Yeah, I was just waiting for it to burn out, but it didn't, thank goodness. And I didn't know that there was a hole in it. So we had put water in it, did all this other stuff, turned it back on, and I'm up there looking at it. I'm like, what the hell's going on? Why isn't this working? And I'm trying to get it to pressurize, and it's not pressurized, it's not pressurizing. Like, what the hell is going on? And then I'll hear a and I'm like, what the hell is that? And I look and then spaba beans. It got enough water in it that it started shooting out of the crack. And it was just enough that I could just see it dribbling out, but then it started shooting like across me. And I went, well, there you go. There's the problem. And I never thought that these things could do that, but I guess that's just what happens. And they, it wasn't like on a seam either. It was just right in the middle of it. And this thing is under immense pressure because it's pushing water through the pool system. And I was like, I'm just waiting for this thing to explode. But what I did was I took an epoxy that I got, a gorilla glue epoxy where you mix the two things and they become hard. I got it all dried off, uh, turned it all off, wiped this thing epoxy onto it over the crack, and then waited for it to dry about three or four hours, turned it back on, worked fine. Oh, well, there you go. But I did call it in and um they contacted me today. We got some pictures, but it will need to be replaced because that is not a permanent fix.

And and I just it just is weird. Is that something you've ever had fumes? Well, the gas wasn't so much, but mixed some cigarette smoke in there, yeah.

Biggest Movies Of 2018

Um, we have Avengers Affinity War, it broke two billion. Yep. Oh my god insane amounts of money. Um so uh in this one, Tom Holland was told to improvise his death scene at the end. Oh, okay. Or at the end of this one, because uh the next one was um when everybody came back. So end game. The end game, right? Right. Um Black Panther was number two. Um didn't really like Black Panther.
SPEAKER_03Who didn't really do anything for me. And I and then the second one, I started watching it when it was came on HBO Max, and it starts with like the musical number of them like you know, coming down the and singing. I'm just like, no. No, I just stopped. I just stopped. I was like, this is two hours and two and a half hours long. I'm no. No, stop.
SPEAKER_00So the spoken language of Wakanda was actually a real uh one from South Africa.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Okay. Oh, really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was a yeah, it was uh uh uh unique one. It wasn't one that's uh I it had a name and there was no way I was pronouncing the name of it. So it was a specific South African language. Um number three was Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. I don't remember this one. Um I'm trying to figure it out.
SPEAKER_03I think I saw it. I don't remember. Was that the one with the little like the hamster wheels that they drove around it?
SPEAKER_00Yes, because that's my fact. Yes. Okay. So these were the two kids uh who were the cousins or nephews of of um Dallas's Howard. Yeah, her uh characters uh they had them and then they got totally screwed. I did see that one. Okay, I do remember it now. Okay, yeah. Um to get a genuine terrified reaction, uh, the actors in the gyrosphere ball, they were dropped from a hundred-foot real roller coaster against a blue screen. Wow. And I was like, holy crap. Yeah, so yeah, realistic. Um number four was Incredibles 2. This was an interesting one because it there was a 14-year hiatus between this one and this and it's uh follow-up. Um, but the creators were asked to artificially recreate certain flaws found in the first film. So they wanted to make sure that they overlapped, but because technically the end of the first one was the beginning of the second one with uh the mole people or the mole man or whoever came out of the ground. But they what they did was to make sure that it had the overlap, they kind of dialed back the technology, and that was also by uh controlling the environment textures, making them more perfect and gritty, because they had the technology to actually add imperfections to things. They took that away because when they made the first one, they didn't have that technology to do that, uh, along with uh controlling the hair model, uh, uniform matte costumes and simplified human geometry. So they actually dialed back everything so that it looked more like the original. So they didn't lose that. Um at number five is Aquaman. Um I was this was really bad. So bad. And I think it was because they did so much trying to do stuff underwater. Right. That was my fault.
SPEAKER_03So it's just like Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So in order to get them in a more realistic movement for underwater, they actually hoisted them up into specialized tuning fork harnesses.
SPEAKER_03Well, but still it was like still does this thing why the movie plot sucked, and why the writing sucked.
SPEAKER_00Uh I think they were trying to do too much. Like they had the family uh aspect of it, then they had Namorn, and then they had C is just uh I they've gone to shit.
SPEAKER_03And like I don't know why they just keep getting allowed to make superhero movies that suck. The new Superman was awful.
SPEAKER_00I finally saw that one. Oh, I watched it. It wasn't that bad. It just did not. It was okay. I don't know.

So uh yeah, you'll you'll be surprised if you go I I won't be surprised because I will not be watching I'll watch it when it comes on eight or Disney Plus. Yes. Well it should be like October because yeah, there's a whole well, because they got to get it out before um right doomsday, which is December. December, yeah. 18th.

Sports Highlights And Stanley Cup Story
SPEAKER_03Okay, so I had my second topic is sports, which I called last week. I said when it's 2018, I'm doing sport. Wonder. So let's see. The the big the big thing was uh France winning the World Cup. Oh man, there was that was the thing I was so excited for.
SPEAKER_00Right, Viva La France. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Uh the Eagles won the Super Bowl against uh New England Patriots, Tyre Woods, emotional return to golf. Uh he won the screwed that up the whatever thing that is the golfy thing. Yeah, the golf the tour championship. Sorry, trying to figure out what that was. Uh Justify became the fur, or not the first, the 13th triple crown winner in the horse racing history. Nice. So Justify was in there. Uh college basketball, who cares? Uh NBA finals, uh Golden State Warriors beat Cleveland. Right. World Series, the Red Sox beat the Dodgers, which was huge. Yeah. And then, of course, the biggest news of my life happened on June 7th of 2018 when my Washington Capitals went their first Stanley Cup ever. Ever. That's awesome. And I was there to witness it. You're at the ring.

SPEAKER_03It was so fun, so much fun to be there. Because I went to game four here in DC. Right. And then when it went to Vegas for game five, one of my friends that had gone to game four also sent me a text the next morning and said, Hey, I just booked my flight. And I was like, You son of a bitch. And I went to my wife and he goes, Well, if you get tickets, if you can get, if you want to get the, you know, I was like, okay. Well, I went to my wife and I asked her, I was like, can I go to Vegas to see the standpoint? Because they could win it and clinch it there. And her response was, if they lose in Vegas and they come back here for game six, you're watching it on TV like everybody else. And I was like, they don't win it in five. Deal. Deal. I'll take it for the chance to go. Right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03I went online. I found lower level tickets for $1,000 a piece. Right. And the tickets that were literally right next to it that were for sale were going for $1,500 to $1,600 a ticket. Wow. And I was just, I was on Subhub and I was just clicking around in the lower bowl. And like I had already gone through that section. And I can't when I came back around, the the lowest price ticket had dropped into a thousand dollars a ticket. And I instantly was like, buy it. Because my friend had already said he goes, I am he goes, a thousand's my limit. And I'm like, first to get lower bowl for a thousand bucks. Yeah. So and now you can't even get like anything lower bowl to first hand the cup. I think this past year for the Carolina. The lower bowl was the cheapest thing, was I think like $4,500. SPEAKER_03Dave Dave sent us a picture of the Shaquille O'Neal line of gummies, and like it it was a watermelon and berry and some other flavor, apple or something, but they're sour, like sour patch kids kind of thing. And Dave goes, Well, I would have picked these up, but they were nine frickin' dollars.
SPEAKER_00And I was just like, it was also in the discount area. So I was like, You gotta be kidding me. And yeah, I was just like, nah, I just never.
SPEAKER_04What were the shapes? Like, I recognized the cactus.
SPEAKER_00Was one a pineapple? Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_04Oh, the pineapple, and then like a shamrock or something. I couldn't figure out why it was poundry, maybe.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Maybe um, but then it yeah, it had nothing to do with being shack. Like I would have thought his picture would have been on the thing too. It wasn't on there.

I would think, right. I mean, there's got to be something, but yeah, no.

Pumpkin Spice Twinkies Taste Test

Paranormal Tales And The Next Year
SPEAKER_00so yeah. So um our first one here uh that we start with is The Birth of Siren Head. Now, I have no clue what this was. Supposedly, this was big on the internet. It was an internet sensation created by horror artist Trevor Henderson. He was Canadian, and he basically put a giant uh emergency siren on top of a 40-foot lanky humanoid. And supposedly this thing became an urban legend where it would hide in uh forests, remote forests, and lure victims in by replaying voices of loved ones or emergency uh alerts. And I'm like, what under games? Yeah, right. Oh so yeah, so this was a big urgent urban legend, but um actually just he was he was created, so I don't know if that counts. Does that make sense? I mean it there's no way to it's not like encrypted or anything where you kind of see so I would I don't know exactly. Um there was also a um story that came out of Brazil, a real life tomb escape attempt, where basically a woman uh was buried alive uh by accident, and as passerbys could hear muffled screams, groans, and banging from inside a concrete tomb, authorities exhumed the body to find the woman had already passed away. But there were scrapes and claws, uh claw marks on the inside of her coffin. Inside the tomb.
SPEAKER_03So she was buried alive. So she was buried alive.
SPEAKER_00And so it was like, oh God, Jesus Christ. Um there was that one. And then I um my last one here that I have is the Phantom Jogger of Riverdale Road in Colorado. This is Archie and um Yeah, yeah. This was all of a yes, this was a Scooby-Doo. Yeah, go get Scooby-Doo.
SPEAKER_03But uh, you know what I'm saying. I know. Archie Comics.

In Colorado, uh, they had a recent hub of paranormal activity in 2018. This story involves a phantom jogger who allegedly was killed by a hit and run. Drivers who pulled over at the crash site reportedly hear running footsteps approach them and they're in their stationary cars, accompanied by violent, unexplained bangs on the exterior and handprints appearing on the outside of the windows. Oh, that's weird, creepy, yeah, totally creepy, ghosty, very ghost.
