1977. I cannot tell you how much of a pissy mood I'm in right now. I can tell. I can tell.
SPEAKER_05We will turn that frown upside down.
SPEAKER_04Just like Lionel Kitty City. Yes. I'm gonna try. And actually, uh just doing the dad jokes a couple minutes ago, actually. Helped a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Took a little of the edge off.
SPEAKER_04Took a little. And I I do have to say right off the bat, I do love Dave's new silky smooth voice. On the microphone. On the microphone. The new microphone. He bought the nice microphone and brought it in last week and recorded on it last week. And like I was listening to the show back in my car and going, oh, Dave's voice, that sounds money.
SPEAKER_01Now, is it help with the editing too? Because you don't have to do any kind of tweaking or twerking.
SPEAKER_04No, there's still some tweaking stuff that I do, but but it just overall the sound quality and there's no hiss in the background. And like, yeah, it's just awesome. Now we just need Joanne to get hers next. That's true. That's true. Here we go.

SPEAKER_04Well, we did it twice. It's not gonna happen. I guess you're just not as serious about this as we are. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_04Oh, we still need to get to 500 subscribers before we can monetize our YouTube. I know, but we're not going to be able to do that. I think we're at 27. Oh, there we're well on our way.

SPEAKER_04Right. So I have ordered little QR code stickers so that people can just scan the sticker and then it goes straight to our YouTube page. And all we have to do is hit subscribe. SPEAKER_04The Buffalo Sabres got eliminated from the Stan Lica playoffs in game seven, in overtime. In overtime. At home, right?
SPEAKER_03At the home Buffalo too. At home.
SPEAKER_04And they were down, already down 2-0 in the game, and then they fought back and they tied it up. And then the overtime.
SPEAKER_05Is this one of my teams that beat them?
SPEAKER_04I don't know. I haven't looked at your bracket. I'm not sure. I don't even know. Montreal won. Yeah, Montreal won. Which Montreal was not picked by anybody to get out of the first round except Montreal fans. Yeah, right. Right. So yeah, they're gonna see how they did against Carolina. So yeah, Montreal is now playing Carolina in the Eastern Conference Championship.
SPEAKER_05Did did I pick that? Did we figure that out if I actually picked them?
SPEAKER_01I mean the Miami Hurricanes that you picked? Yeah, the Miami Hurricanes you picked to win the hurricanes that you picked. Um I wonder if I wonder if you can't.
SPEAKER_04I can't drop back right now. My phone is busy doing other stuff.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what's it called again? Carolina hurricane. Oh, it's the NHL uh bracket channel.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she's not gonna hold.

SPEAKER_05I wish it was an app.
SPEAKER_01I would wish it was too, because that would be a lot easier. Because every time I have to go in, I gotta log in, then I gotta go to the bracket, then I gotta go to the league. Oh yeah, and then find the league. It's ridiculous. And I was doing pretty good. I was actually so you know I signed up for all the prize ones, right? Yeah. I was actually I was 28th out of 10,000 some people in one of them. Only because I was I was actually doing pretty well picking like the first round, I was seven of eight. And I had a couple of extras where I picked the games. And then the next round, I was three to four until until Buffalo lost.
SPEAKER_04Now, did you pick a new bracket for each one of these? Or did you just use the same bracket or without I wasn't about to try to go through a bunch of them?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just picked the one. That's why I was asking.
SPEAKER_05I picked the freaking hurricanes. Oh, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we knew that. We were talking about Montreal. Yeah, we were talking about the next set. The next one. Well, did you get Montreal or Buffalo?
SPEAKER_05The one where I picked the Ducks and the Dallas.
SPEAKER_01Nope, that's on the wrong conference.
SPEAKER_05I picked Carolina over Pittsburgh. Okay, and then the next one. Buffalo and the Lightning Bolts.

SPEAKER_03Yeah, they both died. They got eliminated in the last round.
SPEAKER_01So in the first round.
SPEAKER_05How did they both go?
SPEAKER_01They both lost. So that's kind of how that works. Yeah. It was got eliminated for the room. Yeah. First, the Lightning never made it out of the first round, and then Caroline, because Montreal beat them, wasn't it in Montreal? I think so. Yeah. And then uh Buffalo turned around and uh got lost to Montreal.
SPEAKER_05No, I'm sorry. I picked the Lightning bolts, which were TBL.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Tobay Light. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I thought they were Montreal.
SPEAKER_01No, Montreal Canadians uh have the big CH.
SPEAKER_05They haven't played the Hurricanes yet.
SPEAKER_01They won't ever play the Hurricanes. No, Montreal will next because they won. Montreal will, yes. And they'll play the Hurricanes in the next round. Yes.
SPEAKER_05Oh, and I can't see them because I never picked them. Right.

SPEAKER_01Right, you picked Tampa Bear. The lightning. Yeah, to go all the way. So that just kills your bracket. Yeah, that kills your bracket.
SPEAKER_05Oh, but how cool! I almost made it.
SPEAKER_01You came close. You got points. I think you're fourth.
SPEAKER_04And in the Western Conference, the Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights. Yes. Go battling it out in a real.
SPEAKER_01They're just getting a little bit more uh push, it seemed like. They seemed like they had a little more fire under the belly. So and then there's definitely the underdogs going into this one.
SPEAKER_04The Avalanche were number one out of the at the end of the season, first place overall. Uh back in December, I called it. I said just give give the Avalanche, put their name on the cup. Just put it on the cup.
SPEAKER_01They struggled a little bit, but yeah, they finally got out of there. So we'll see them.
SPEAKER_05I got 33% correct. That's not too bad.
SPEAKER_01I guess that was a 78 at one point. I'll have to go back and look at mine. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Because the odds would be 50-50. What would the odds be?
SPEAKER_01The odds would be a lot more than that because a bracket is a lot of picks. So yeah. Yeah. I mean it's not like NCAA or anything like that, where it's 64 freaking.
SPEAKER_05Nothing like the NCAA.

SPEAKER_05Is this seriously, like, is I was finding it difficult because I'm used to seeing the bracket that's just, you know, like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. But this one didn't seem to be that way.
SPEAKER_01Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It wasn't like that. I think it kind of went boom boom boom because it's really shorter. Right. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It's weird. Yes. Something like that.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Yeah, I thought it was I thought it was different. I thought it was different.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Gotcha. So, Dave, what did you what anything this week happened? I do have a couple things.
SPEAKER_01One is a PSA. Okay. I have a PSA on uh big dogs. Um blending on my face. My great gain is just a goober fest. So if you're not really into something like that where it's a lot of slobber, it was pretty tough. Yeah, he was extra goobery uh this weekend. So yeah, we had uh so just a PSA there. If you're not really up for that, then you may want to just kind of veer away. I'll stick with my small little bugs that pee on the carpet. Don't they drool though when you give them treats and things like that? They don't get all drooly or anything like that.
SPEAKER_04Okay, right. Pepper and butter is not a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Not so much.
SPEAKER_05The little ones don't seem to be huge droolers.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. Oh, oh my gosh. I have a Jerry uh Seidfeld uh update. Oh, Jerry Seidfeld. Yeah, we're gonna have to add him to uh Dead or Alive. He did pass away today. Ohnight. He had some issues, I guess. Uh he was we thought he was doing a lot better. He was a lot more, I guess, um, he had a lot more movements to him. He had a little more castanza. A little more, yeah, yeah. He had a little more a little more going for him. Uh yeah, but for some reason, overnight just swimming kind of yeah, gave up the ghost.

You guys are both in like a service-y type of industry, right? You deal with people and customers, right? Unfortunately. When you answer the phone, do you have a specific type of voice that you use, right? Google phone voice. Yeah, your service voice, right? Lisa is catching so much shit about her voice that she uses. Yes, and and her new job as she just started. And it's it's more so where they they don't realize that it's her at first, I guess.
SPEAKER_04And then are like who's who's the who's the person in the back of the the store? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of who is that person? Oh, it's Lisa. Um so there she's kind of so she she wanted me to ask Is she doing the low exotic voice? No, it's I don't it's not it's not breathy at all. It's more of that kind of um, hi, this is Lisa. I'm at uh blah blah blah blah blah and I'm uh ready to help you. What do can I help you with? You know, that kind of a almost like put on beat chipper, more so just wanting to figure out where the fuck you want kind of voice, you know? And and let's just move this along. So can we just kind of get going? I I don't think they understand that kind of scenario, and they are definitely giving her a rash of shit. One of them is her new nemesis, but the other ones are kind of like um are they younger? Uh some of them are, some of them aren't. The nemesis isn't. So so Lisa's just kind of like you wanted to talk about this? Yeah, she gave me permission. Oh, okay. She gave me permission because she I almost bet that they aren't listening. Right, but she's kind of like, is this a weird thing? Because they're kind of like just beside themselves with this whole fake voice that she they think she's putting on. But you almost I knew when I was working at the army and I was getting calls for support, I answered the phone, you know, Dave Row, uh aka, how can I help you? Yeah, I was like, it was a voice, you just kind of have it, and then you can get back into just oh hey, yeah, Steve O, hey, how's it going? But you know, that kind of thing. I don't answer the phone, not knowing who the frick they are.
SPEAKER_05Steve- No, I'm just saying, oh my god, talking about burying the lead.
SPEAKER_04Like, seriously, you know Steve-O? What can't we get him on the show? Is he not a guest? It was a different Stevo, just to say it's not the same.
SPEAKER_01It's a totally different stvo, yeah. Steve, sorry. Legend, man. There are other people named Steve-o out there, just to let you guys know. Yeah, just so you know. But yeah, so that was.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you have to have, right? You have to have some kind of phone voice. It's called the phone voice for everyone, right?
SPEAKER_01Exactly, right? Yeah. She was, I don't know. So I'm just trying to give her some a little confidence that it's not her voice. So every time we're kind of joking around, though, and and things happen, we're like, oh, it must be her voice. Things just happen, and it's like, what the heck? Uh yeah, it's it's gotta be her voice. So yeah, we're joking around with that. But yeah, so there you go. So that's kind of fun.
SPEAKER_05Oh, she should not worry.
SPEAKER_01Um that's what I told her. I said not to get told.
SPEAKER_05People probably love her more than the others. Maybe they got her.
SPEAKER_01Well, she's just front front desk because they're like picturing all the phones. Oh, yeah, we heard that exactly. Oh down. Oh my gosh. Be friends with Lisa at Christmas when you need to. Yeah. For sure. I did have corrections. Yeah. Um and we're waiting. Only a couple. I remember I said I had a toad or a frog. I don't I wasn't quite sure what it was. I looked it up, and it is definitely a toad. Okay. Because he's wide, he's got the bumps on him, and his nose is rounded. That seems to be the thing. Yeah. Whereas the frog is more of an athletic, kind of sleeker build to it. This guy is a just a hunk, just a huge how you tell the difference between the alligator and a crocodile, it's their nose.
SPEAKER_03It's like the roundator square if it's round at all. Right.
SPEAKER_01So I guess that's an amphibian thing. So yeah, they have differences there. Um, so there was that. Um, I don't you had one where you felt you mismentioned something about Oh, yeah, we were talking about the Goonies.
SPEAKER_04Right. And I said, You're not a fan of what should I should have said is you're not a fan of the truffle shuffle. Right. And I think I said the shuffle truffle.
SPEAKER_01Right. I think I think you did. I was like, oh, you remember the shuffle truffle? I didn't catch that one. The truffle shuffle. But I did catch when you said that I had we were talking about the deer and you said that I had PSTD. Yes, exactly. I caught that one too. Now, I looked it up because I was like stress traumatic disorder. But I was looking for other acronyms that I could throw in here, and there aren't really, but it actually is referred to in certain circles as PSTD. Oh wow. At certain points. So I didn't know that, but PTSD is actually the phone one. PTSD is actually the one they throw around because that actually is the whole acronym right. So I thought that was kind of funny. Also, there are still tickets available for the K Pop sing a log just. It's uh June 14th, and it's it's a $41.
SPEAKER_04$41. What about David Lee Roth at Warner Theater in DC? Oh, are you kidding? Yeah. Oh, I don't think.
SPEAKER_05That would be a good show.

And they had a amazing guitar player. Live is tough. And now it's really tough. He's like always behind the beat just a little bit. Right. Right. SPEAKER_01And then in October, they after his death, uh in October they played the Elvis in Concert uh series on CBS. And it did not go over well. At least that's what I heard. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I don't know. I didn't get that far. Also that year, uh Charlie Chaplin. Really? Oh, yep. Bing Crosby. Sad Bing Crosby, one of my Christmas favorites. I know he beat his children, but still. At least he didn't rape one like Michael. You never heard that about Bing Crosby?

Well, we're not gonna go. Well, I'm not going. And yeah, exactly. So guests and artists were backing out because they're like, nobody's gonna watch this. So Jason Moraz filled in because he had just signed his label deal and was like he was waiting for the record to come out, and it actually wasn't ready to come out yet. And they're just not like this opportunity for you to get on on late night. Yeah, and so they're not. Crazy. Jason Raz got his first break on TV and David Lundmann wasn't even there. And it was on his show. Wow. That's I think Regis Dolbin was filling in or something like that. Right, yeah. So but yeah, because I watched because he's a local boy and I was like, oh he's gonna be on yeah. So that was oh, Joanne. You're gonna start with icons.

Now, for people that are listening that may not know what that is, a pedal steel, what kind of lap steel, pedal steel, it's um it usually well lap steel and pedestals are technically two or two different things. Two different things. A lap steel just sits in your lap, it's a piece of wood, and it's like the fingerboard of a guitar, but the um the action of the strings is raised higher so you can use a slide on it. Okay, and you get that. Kind of like you know, yeah, just that cowboy, you know. Right. I can't even place that in the song.

So then uh Sesame Street broadcasted their thousandth episode. Thousand episodes as part of our icon.

Uh Fantasy Island, Incredible Hulk. Yeah, Incredible Hulk. Uh you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. Uh Dallas, uh, the amazing Spider-Man, the live action show. And I think that was on CBS. I want to say it was CBS. I'm not sure. I don't remember that. It was very dumb. It was unforgettable. It was very forgettable, to be honest. It was forgettable. Yeah, it was very forgettable. Uh 2020 started uh there. Uh The Croft Super Hour, which actually the previous year it was a Croft something or other, like power air show or something weird like that. But um, and that one actually canceled, and then this one restarted. So they actually just came back on the air with a different name. A different name. Yeah. Um The Challenger of the Super Friends. These are all the ones that I watched that kept me going on.

SPEAKER_01It was uh and then Fang Face. Do you remember that one? No. He was a teenager that turned into a werewolf and he had one fang that hung out of his mouth. And it was kind of like a Scooby-Doo kind of thing. They solved mysteries.

SPEAKER_01So I listen to 70s a lot, and one of them is the uh Yacht Rock. And that theme song is in heavy rotation in the Yacht Rock. And it's very funny, but it's like a whole thing. It goes like long, it's long. It's like really long. It's got three courses, and yeah, it's it really wow. Yeah, it's like I was like, okay, I don't remember that part, but okay, and then uh different strokes uh debuted too. Uh but we did have some people leave us uh Six Million Dollar Man, Kojak, um, The Robotic Stooges. That was a cartoon.

SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was a cartoon. It was not good. That was another funny one, too. Uh The Carol Burnett Show, the Bob Newhart Show, Maud, uh The Gong Show. Do you remember the Gong Show? Of course. Yes. Another cartoon was uh Laugh Olympics. Do you remember that one? Nope.

Um, number three, we go back out to outer space with Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Um, in casting the alien, Spielberg wanted to use an orangutan dressed in a silver spandex with roller skates. Do you understand that that is kind of outrageous? Is that that's what they wanted to go with? And the reason why it didn't work is because the orangutan kept taking off the skates. Oh my god. So they went with so funny. So they cast a group of local elementary girls at from Mobile, Alabama, where they were shooting the film. Okay, that's they went from orangutan to young ladies. Yes. Uh number four, Saturday Night Fever. Yep. Um, the film created the nationwide craze of disco music and dancing, mainly confined, which was mainly confined to New York and Philly at the time. Yep. Yep. So that actually pushed it to a national scene. Um, number five, which I thought was this was a little weird, and I've never watched this movie. Um, The Goodbye Girl.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_01I figured you would because it's one of those, yeah, it seemed like it was a uh say, Dave, a girly movie. Yeah. Yeah, I think I wanted to go with that. Um the star or one of the stars, Richard Dreyfus, became the first actor to headline in three consecutive films, grossing over 100 million. You want to guess what the other ones were?
SPEAKER_05Because he was in Jaws.
SPEAKER_01He was in Jaws and Amadeus. Close Encounters of the Third. Oh, he's just in Close Encounters. So that's kind of funny that Oh, was he? Yes, yeah, he was the main character that uh actually went out and uh became a third, the third encounter. Yeah. Yeah. Um number six, a war movie, A Bridge Too Far. I've now got a 77. Yeah, but um, oh yeah, uh Shaw was in this one too from Jaws. Uh Robert Shaw. Um the Pivotal Assault on the Bridge was filmed in October, and the crew only had one hour to shoot this pivotal scene from the entire movie. Oh my god. Um, because there was heavy local traffic needing to use the bridge.
SPEAKER_00Oh, funny.
SPEAKER_01So they were only able to close it for an hour before they had to get everything getting back onto it. So that was kind of fun. Uh, number seven, the deep. I've never seen this one either. But it was basically an underwater film. Another um yeah, it's so crazy. Um at the time, um, the world's largest underwater set was dug into the hillside of Bermuda. It was a 33 foot deep, 120-foot wide filled tank of millions of fresh salt water daily, including a shark, moray eel, and over 300 different fish. Wow. That's very cool.
SPEAKER_05And that seems like um Waterworld would have benefited from doing that.
SPEAKER_01They kind of did, didn't they? Their tanks were all didn't they create water tanks? Did they create tanks and do something from that? I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_05It wasn't like real, like that sounds.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this was well, the and then the filming of the underwater scenes where they actually intercountered fish and things like that, that they were right there. It wasn't like CGI fish or anything like that. Uh everything had to be practical.
SPEAKER_04So speaking of the deep, yes. Um, have all of the episodes of the boys aired? Yes. No, they're uh seven. They're up to seven. Okay, out of eight?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they'll do eight. So there's just one more to go. Yeah, a couple more.

Uh featuring an iconic villain Jaws. The iconic metal dentures were designed by Stanley Kubrick's stepdaughter, Katrina. Oh, wow. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh, and remember a couple weeks ago we had that discussion, or maybe months ago, about the best James Bond. Yes. Yeah. Um Carly Simon. Nobody does it better.

SPEAKER_04And you know, because I had mentioned, yeah, we'd mentioned the couple that you know we thought were big, and I'm like, how did we let that one slip? That kind of slipped by, didn't it?
SPEAKER_01I mean, that's like Yeah, we should have, because that is a good one. That is a pretty good one. Exactly. Um, number nine, oh God. Oh yeah. Yes. Oh, this is um George Burns. George Burns.

Um in October, the movie briefly broke the 15-week reign of Star Wars for the number one spot at the box office. Wow. That's all for that one, too.
SPEAKER_05How long had Star Wars been out at that point?
SPEAKER_01Um, it actually opened early.
SPEAKER_04It opened in May.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then it went for 15 weeks, and then I think Oh God came out in October. So then it just had a little bit bopped it off and then it went back. Yeah. Yeah. Didn't last very long. And then number 10 was Annie Hall. Oh, wow. Now this movie was supposed to be a mystery movie, but in editing, they cut it all down and made it a love story. Um, but as what as a part of this, yeah, he it entirely switched the entire movie itself. It was supposed to be a murder mystery thing.
SPEAKER_04I hadn't I had never seen Annie Hall until maybe it's been within the past two years I watched it. Yeah. And I remember watching it going, what an absolutely delightful film this is. Really? I've never seen it. I've never seen it. I absolutely enjoyed it. I totally get it. I there were there were scenes that were shot in certain ways, which Woody Allen was the first person to do that with those shots and those angles, and it was just it was it was such a delight, and I I really enjoyed it. I'm like, you know, if there's some people that just can't get past the whole, you know, him and you know all that other stuff is extracurricular activities like that. But yes, this was before, but yeah. Well, yeah, because it was before, but right, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Probably before she was born.
SPEAKER_04Right. 77, yeah, I would have to say. Um anyway, I would highly recommend watching Any Hall if you haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, right. And so the um the trivia that I had for that was that a passerby whom uh is referred in the movie as the winner of the Truman Capote lookalike contest was actually Truman Capote. It was actually funny because uh yeah, his his uh um character mentioned it as uh he looked a lot like uh Truman Capote in the uh in the movie.

SPEAKER_01Um I have some notables here. Uh Pumping Iron, Slap Shot. It's a good one. I love that one. Uh The Mini Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Airport 77, uh For the Love of Benji, which I know made you cry. Uh Roller Coaster, which I don't remember that. Roller Coaster, it was uh uh it was uh uh like one of those it was like airplane or airport. Oh really? It was supposed to be like that, a disaster movie uh tied to it, but it was a roller coaster. Like the guy was bombing roller coasters.
SPEAKER_05When did a disaster movie like airport? Yeah, oh not airplane. What's airport?
SPEAKER_01Airport is uh the same thing, yeah. It was the it was the dramatic one version of airplane. Yeah, the spoofed, yeah.

SPEAKER_01Like Earthquake, I've heard of Poseidon Adventure, those types of disaster movies that were all dramatically driven. The ones that I love Towering Inferno.
SPEAKER_05Right, exactly.
SPEAKER_04It was Airport 77. Was Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Opera or whatever the one where they were in the amusement park? Do you remember that one? No, no, heck was that.

SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh, the Kiss movie. Yeah, it was like Kiss at Midnight Madness or something. I don't remember. Oh my gosh. It was in amusement in an amusement park, and like like they could like shoot lasers out of their like wristbands or something. I don't know. Oh, right. Okay, I can't very vague. Kiss Phantom of the Park or something. The Phantom of the I don't know. I'll look it up.

SPEAKER_04But that was 70 something.
SPEAKER_01Exorcist 2 was out. Uh I didn't think that got very good reviews. Herbie goes to Monte Carlo. Um The Happy Hooker goes to Washington.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Not something I've seen. It was that for real. Yes, yes, it was actual. It was a good do you know who was in that one? Ricardo Montevideo. Of course it was. But it got on the Monte Carlo Monte. Yeah, I think it was him. Anyway, um Corinthian love. Orca. Now, this was the last movie that I'd ever seen at a drive-in movie theater. And it freaked the crap out of me.
SPEAKER_05Like as in The Whale?
SPEAKER_01Yes, Orca. It was about a whale that was attacking people in boats. Of course. Like Jaws, but an Orca. Like a killer whale.

SPEAKER_01It was it was like Jaws, but Orca. Yeah. Um Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. Now, I always saw this on television, but this actually was released in the movie theater. Um, Pete's Dragon. Yay. Pete's Dragon. Abba the movie. And then the last one I have here is The Hobbit. And this was the animated version that did show on television a lot. Oh, from Rankin and Bass. Yes.
SPEAKER_05And that was in the theater.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was originally in the theater, yeah.

SPEAKER_05Yeah. And same with like a couple of the cabinets had suddenly like they were coming apart because of suddenly, you know? Right.

SPEAKER_05No, no. It would take me like a day. I'm like, dude, I don't make that much in a month. How why do you think I'm gonna pay you that?
SPEAKER_01It is, it's the workmanship though. I mean, you gotta understand if they're repairing the wood and the cabinetry. I mean, definitely paying him that much. It's gonna be spackling cracks and then those gotta dry and then repaint them. There's no wood. What would? The wood on the you said there were cabinetries that need to be repaired.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no, no, no. It's like, you know, like paint comes apart and there's like a little, it's not like a crack. It's like the seam.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05On like two cabinets is just like a little apart. I'm like, just toss some caulk in there and paint it.
SPEAKER_01Just fill it with cock.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, then he said, Oh, we've got these the houses made of wood. And so we've got some spots that are that have rotted and that needs to be replaced. Right. And there are some boards that need to be nailed back in. And there's one board that like just needs to be replaced.

SPEAKER_01So the wood is not cheap anymore. So there's a there's a lot to that material-wise. Three thousand.

They got the money, they they pay their own work. Look at this. I'm just saying, you know, as opposed to coming into a rent-owned whatever you haven't seen my house.
SPEAKER_05My house is the smallest house in the neighborhood. That's not the point.
SPEAKER_01The point is the work is the work. And if there aren't too many other handy men doing the work, you kind of run into that problem of uh supply and demand.

SPEAKER_01Well, then your best bet is to try to get somebody else out there and see what they're saying. If they say about the same thing you're struggling with, we're not on crack. Yes, but you also don't want to low bid uh uh low ball a bid either, because then they're just they're throwing up crap and and it's gonna look like crap.
SPEAKER_05He was so nice and he took notes, and that's a that's been a huge problem here is like taking notes. People come and they just like wing it in their head, no notes. And that's annoying. So he took notes, he asked great questions, like he was very insightful, like he was awesome, and I was so excited.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like Right, because he okay, so you're talking about someone who is very dedicated to the work and is gonna do the work correctly. What would you tell someone for two weeks of work? Two weeks. Two weeks, he said, would take the how much money do you get per hour for two weeks of work?
SPEAKER_05Think of his material and materials and materials, and his investments to all of his equipment, exactly, the stuff he already has in place for $41,000.
